Historian Dr. Timothy Messer-Kruse, School of Cultural and Critical Studies, Bowling Green State University, will explore Toledo’s early years, the soaring hopes of its boosters and the speculation that shaped its destiny. Messer-Kruse’s work on this topic won the Local History Publication Award, Article Category, Professional Division, leading to this special lecture.
