DMA Composer Portrait Performed by the DMA in Contemporary Music cohort Tonight's program Is made possible with support from the MidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music, Dean William Mathis, the BGSU Music Library, and the Department of Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Composition, and Theory.  

BGSU composition students will present their new works, performed by fellow music students. This event is free and open to the public.  

The Edwin H. Simmons Creative Minds Series presents Shaina Taub, a two-time Tony Award winner, Obie Award winner, and Grammy and Emmy Award nominee. She will discuss Theater as a Tool for Social Change.  Taub reignited public dialogue about women’s rights, political power, and unfinished progress with Suffs, her landmark Broadway musical about American suffragists. The show, in which she also starred as suffragist Alice Paul, won her two Tony Awards, a Grammy nomination, and a devoted following across generations. This event is free and open to the public.
