Native American Heritage Month

Join us in honoring Native American Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, diverse cultures, and enduring traditions of Indigenous peoples. From music and food to exhibits and storytelling, these events are open to all and offer opportunities to engage, learn, and connect. Whether you’re discovering something new or honoring your own heritage, there’s something for everyone to experience on campus and in the surrounding community.

“Epiphany in the Beans”

All are welcome to join us for this month's "In The Round’s" Community Read Gathering led by Chad Van Buskirk, Associate Teaching Professor, Department of English. The discussion will feature essays from Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer’s best-selling book, “Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teaching Plants.” Why attend Explore the intersection of Indigenous wisdom, ecology and storytelling Be part of a campus-wide series unpacking the powerful lessons in Braiding Sweetgrass This is the third in a series of Community Reads events, each highlighting a different chapter from Braiding Sweetgrass and led by faculty across BGSU ======================= Join us in honoring Native American Heritage Month, which celebrates the rich histories, diverse cultures, and enduring traditions of Indigenous peoples.
