  Have you ever wondered what it will take for astronauts to make a journey to Mars? Such a long journey will present extraordinary challenges that must be overcome. Learn about these challengers and how humans may one day safely make the journey to Mars and back. Public stargazing will follow evening shows, weather permitting. $2 donation suggested for all planetarium shows.

  The Sun is the source of life-giving energy. Discover the layers of the Sun and how the Sun produces energy. See sunspots and solar storms, the solar wind, and threats to the Earth’s atmosphere, as well as discover the future of the Sun and the effects the dying Sun will have on the Earth. Plus, the video short, OUR COLORFUL WORLD, presents a vibrant exploration of color and light that reveals the profound ways in which we perceive the world around us. $2 donation suggested for all planetarium shows.

  In this live program, we’ll explore how the Sun’s path across the sky changes with the seasons and how it varies from different locations on Earth. In addition to the Sun’s path, we’ll also examine how the stars move across the sky as seen in different directions and from different latitudes around the world. Public stargazing will follow,  weather permitting.   $2 donation suggested for all planetarium shows.

Explore the environment of these objects and see how scientists use cutting-edge technology to uncover the physics of black hole formation. Plus, what lies at the heart of our galaxy? Embark on a JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE MILKY WAY and see how some of the largest telescopes in the world have observed the motion of stars near the center of the galaxy to reveal the position of the Milky Way’s central supermassive black hole. Public stargazing will follow,  weather permitting.   $2 donation suggested for all planetarium shows.
