The ceremony will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the stair climb at 7:30 a.m. You are encouraged to participate in both or attend either portion. All are invited to participate. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. for pastries, coffee and community reflection on the Stroh Center Concourse. The National Fallen Firefighters 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs The BGSU ROTC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs is a way to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on September 11, 2001. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Our tributes not only remember the sacrifice of an FDNY firefighter but also symbolically complete their heroic journey to save others. Through ROTC, students, and community participation, we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows we will never forget. ------------------------------- 25th Anniversary of September 11 In honor of the 25th anniversary, the University invites the community to take part in commemorative events that honor and remember those affected by September 11.
